Chemical AnalysisChemical Analysis is usually conducted using an optical emission spectrometer (OES). The spark from the OES sends the light spectrum generated by the elements in the material to a spectrometer which determines the type of element and the amount present. This is an accurate method for determining qualitative and quantative chemical analysis. Many other instruments are available for solid surface chemical analysis such as IMMA, Auger/ESCA, and Atomic Absorption for liquids. |
